General Sales Manager

Job Description: RESPONSIBILITIES – Recruit, hire, and train sales teams to build and maintain strong customer relations. – Understand and implement company culture and selling value to our customers – Be the collective voice of the sales group to assist where needed to improve – Work with a large number of sales reps to solve problems and offer solutions to customers. – Work with suppliers to coordinate sales meetings and lead generation programs – Set sales goals, compare performance to goals, and adjust goals as needed – Assess current team processes and procedures, and identify opportunities for improvement. – Develop individual quotas and assign territories for team – Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts – Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to team members – Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment – Assess individual performance and suggest corrective actions as needed – Be a leader to the sales group and actively support all company initiatives Qualifications REQUIREMENTS – Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field or, 5 years of experience in packaging sales management. – Experience leading a large team of sales reps is a must – 10+ – Excellent leadership and management skills – Strong negotiation and relationship development skills – Experience setting sales goals – Results-oriented with strong analytical skills – Deep understanding of customer relations and customer service.
